Last week was full of fun, excitement, and exhaustion! We spent three days exploring "America's Largest RV Show," the Hershey RV Show. Over 1,500 RVs were on display, which came in handy since we were hoping to narrow down the possibilities for our next home on wheels.
And, if RVs aren't your cup of tea, the show was right next door to Hershey World, literally the sweetest place on earth. (We made a fun-filled visit to the chocolate factory, which I will share in a future issue!)
Let's dive in!
Welcome to the Big Show...RV Style!
Let's Go RV Shopping!
We explored as many RVs as we could to get a hands-on look and feel of the different layouts. It's one thing to watch videos, but quite another to be inside them and see the reality of the space and how things are laid out.
It wasn't long before we landed on a favorite on day 1. Day 2 was spent gathering more information and discussing possible mods with the manufacturer. This opportunity was why we decided to go to this show, where manufacturers would be in attendance.

We met with the Future Solutions team to discuss a new solar setup, and they provided a wealth of information. They helped us (okay, really, Jody, but I did listen!) understand what we could get and what it would do for our off-grid camping adventures.

The Grand Design team was so helpful and willing to do what they could to help us get what we wanted. In the end, after a long discussion of pros and cons over dinner, we went back on day 3 and made a deal!
There was so much to see and learn at the show! But if you want to eat there, you might want to bring a pile of money. We only bought food on the first two days and spent almost $100!
Chic-Fil-A combo $18.50
Street Band
BBQ, cheesefries & tea $54
There was fun entertainment, too! A street band roamed the show and entertained the crowd all three days we were there, and there were other entertainers, too!
Vendors filled Giant Stadium with deals and information to offer. And there were plenty of presentations to help you learn all about boondocking or getting started as an RVer, among other things.

Photo of the Week
Manhattan Bridge
With all the excitement of the RV show, I didn't have much time to take photos, so I am sharing another favorite from NYC. The Manhattan Bridge view from Washington Street in the DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area is an iconic photo and on many photography bucket lists, including mine!
If you haven't had a chance to check out the NYC trip blog I shared last week, here's another opportunity. Let me know what you are most excited to see for yourself!
